My stepdad did help me with the content for these pages. He is an avid golfer and has golfed at all of the Corpus Christi golf courses. He knows these courses inside and out.
The country clubs are typically private. They only allow members access to their facilities. Some of these courses are semi-private. Gabe Lozano, Gulf Winds, Pharaohs, and Oso Beach are all public courses.
If you are interested in joining a country club in Corpus Christi, the NorthShore Country Club is probably the easiest to join. They offer low initiation and monthly fees. NorthShore is located in Portland, just on the other side of the bay.

Padre Isles offers a reasonable monthly fee. It is a semi-private club. This means that they have member only facilities, but the golf course is open to the public.
According to my stepdad, NorthShore is the most difficult of all the golf courses in the Corpus Christi area. However challenging it may be, it is definitely the most picturesque. The greens and roughs are cut daily. Several of the back nine holes are set along the shore overlooking Corpus Christi Bay.
