The most well known of the Corpus Christi dive shops is Copeland's. Copeland's has been in business since 1958. My long time friend and mentor has done plenty of business with Copeland's in the past. He would have me (being a new diver) take the tanks in to Copeland's to have them re-filled.
I had the good fortune of partaking in a private scuba diving certification course. If not for the private instruction, I would have taken the scuba diving course at Copeland's. They offer the SSI (Scuba Schools International) Basic Open Water Dive course. Copeland's has an indoor heated pool. Classes can be taken on a Tuesday/Thursday evening schedule or a Saturday's only schedule.
The weekday schedule lasts one month and the Saturday's only schedule is two weeks in duration. The open water dive course costs $299. Contact Copeland's at 361-854-1135 for schedules.

Copeland's offers a full line of scuba diving equipment and gear, to meet all of your scuba diving needs. If you are interested in scuba diving trips, they sponsor trips to the Caribbean, Truk Lagoon, the Flower Gardens, plus rig dives in the Gulf of Mexico.
There are only two Corpus Christi dive shops. The other dive shop is Ascuba Venture. Ascuba Venture also offers the SSI Basic Open Water Dive course. Flexible scheduling for this course is available. You have the option of night, weekend, or private course instruction. Classes are scheduled frequently and students can expect to spend ten hours in the classroom, 15 hours in the pool, and a minimum of four open water dives.
