GO TO THESE CORPUS CHRISTI BEACHES FOR SUN AND FUN

Visit these Corpus Christi beaches if you are taking in a few attractions along the bayfront. These beaches are good for relaxing, sun tanning, or simply spending some time in the water. These beaches are quite small compared to the beaches you will find on Padre Island.

The largest beach along the bay is Corpus Christi Beach, or North Beach as some people call it. If you do not want to stay on the island, but still want that beach resort feeling, stay at one of the beach resorts along Corpus Beach. Restaurants, gift shops, and major attractions are just a stones throw away.

For instance, two top attractions, the USS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium are both located on Corpus Christi Beach. After you are done taking in the sights, it is just a hop, skip, and a jump to explore the rest of Corpus Christi. Just take a drive across the Harbor Bridge.

The other beach that is close to downdown is Magee Beach. This beach is located in front of the Holiday Inn. It is quite small, but I have seen the beach packed. If you are staying at the Holiday Inn, I think you can rent waverunners.

You should take enough time out of your vacation to relax on one of the beaches, especially if you are staying downtown. These are great alternatives if you do not have plans on going to the island. Of course, if you happen to be staying on the island, the beach and the beautiful Texas coast is your backyard!

To be quite honest, I have not spent much time at the two beaches in the city proper. In fact, the only beach I have spent any time at is Corpus Beach. I was at Magee Beach long enough to take some photos. I would imagine that most locals have not spent a lot of time at Magee Beach either. Most of the memories I have of going to the beach are from the beaches on Padre Island.

There is much more to do on these beaches. However, enjoying a fantastic sunset, taking a beach walk, and spending time with your family are all possible at the beaches in Corpus Christi.
