VISIT THESE CORPUS CHRISTI ATTRACTIONS TO MAKE YOUR STAY AN ACTION-PACKED ADVENTURE
Whether you enjoy the beach, fishing, or you are in to history, the many Corpus Christi attractions are sure to please. Many visitors to South Texas come to Corpus for the laidback atmosphere. Others come for the beautiful beaches and the Texas Gulf coast. Whatever your reason for wanting to visit or live in Corpus, you will find that there is plenty to keep you busy.
USS LEXINGTON
A major Corpus Christi attraction.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to walk aboard a famous World War II aircraft carrier? If so, you are in luck. Corpus has one. The USS Lexington is a major Corpus Christi attraction that attracts many visitors every year. The Lex is located right next to the Texas State Aquarium.
The Lex has a long and unique history. Why not spend a few hours or even the entire afternoon learning about this famous aircraft carrier? After you are done soaking in all the amazement, it's just a short walk to the aquarium where you can learn all about the local marine life.
ART CENTER OF SOUTH TEXAS
One of several must do's.
Corpus Christi has a couple of museums located along the bayfront. It's been years since I have visited them. So, I have no idea what kind of changes have been made. I was just a kid when I was at the museum in Corpus. The two main museums are the Art Center of South Texas and the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History.
Other museums or areas of interest are the Britton-Evens Centennial House, the Selena Statue, and Heritage park. The Selena Statue is located at the entrance of the Corpus Christi Marina. Heritage Park is right across the street from the American Bank Center.

Of course, no vacation to Corpus Christi would be complete without visiting and enjoying the beaches and the Texas Gulf coast. The beaches here are hands down the best along the Texas coastline. So, be double sure to set aside a day or two to enjoy a handful of activities at Mustang Island and Padre Island National Seashore. Both are top attractions here in Corpus.
Although not located in the city proper, the King Ranch at one time was the largest ranch in the world. It is still the largest ranch in the U.S. and is located near Kingsville, a short drive from Corpus Christi. So, if you are interested in early Texas history, the early years of the cattle industry, or you just want to brag to all your friends that you set foot on one of the worlds largest ranches, be sure to make a visit.

You should definitely spend some time fishing. Fishing is one of the biggest, if not the biggest reason why visitors come to Corpus Christi. You can even take an offshore fishing charter and fish in the Gulf of Mexico. There is nothing like catching a big Kingfish, a Tuna, or a Wahoo.
